After the medical exam, Maizie took a three hour nap. During this time, I went over to the Qingping market again. There's nothing in the market I would really like to buy, but it is interesting to see. Here are some photos of the market.
Tonight at dinner, Maizie ate her first bit of solid food. It was french fries. She took several bites in her mouth, but only actually ate two of them. She seems to be curious about solid food and we hope we can start transitioning her to solid food
soon.

it is currently 6/18/06 12:25am in beijing as i type from columbus, ne. just wanted to wish jeff happy father's day. i've been quietly following your blog and my heart brims with joy & happiness for all of you with each entry & picture. thank you for continuing to share your experience. this blog is the best thing next to being right there with you in china.
again, happy father's day, jeff. happy family's day, all of you. can't wait to meet maizie! (by the way, she's now a bona fide american being that her first bit of solid food was a french fry!! woo hoo!!)
