Photos from First Day in Beijing
Here are some photos from the first day of our Beijing tour. The top photo is Carrie and me standing in Tiananmen Square across the street from the Forbidden City. The second photo is inside one of the gates entering the Forbidden City. The third one is our guide Kim and me inside the Forbidden City. The fourth photo is Carrie in front of one of the female lions that guards the Forbidden City. The fifth one is Carrie and me inside the Forbidden City in front of a tree with two tunks that symbolizes love. The last one is a view from inside the Summer Palace. The battery quickly died on our digital camera as Carrie was using it to take video so we only got the one digital photo inside the Summer Palace, although we got lots of video with our video camera (which we didn't really use in Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City).
