Maizie loves to read.

One of Maizie's favorite things to do is reading, which I absolutely love about her. She has very definite ideas about what books she likes. If you hand her a book on her do not read list she will fling it back at you. We have stacks of books all over the house. When Maizie first came home she loved to read, but they way that she liked reading was to flip through the pages quickly. If you were speedy, you may be able to read one word before she would flip to the next page. Now she lingers over the pages more so that we are able to read the stories. Her favorite book right now is "Goodnight Gorilla". She will point to the gorilla and say "ga". She has not said any full words yet, but she has a lot of sounds. Da for Jeff. Ga for gorilla. Ka for cat. Duh for dog. Ba for we are not sure. Boop for her lovey. In the pictures below her dress is covered with cat images and Maizie would point to her dress and say "ka". It was very cute.

Belly Button?

Recently we met up with Maizie's friend An Ling at a park for an autumn celebration. An Ling is always very maternal towards Maizie. She likes to hold all of Maizie's cups for her. Maizie can never drink enough to make mama An Ling happy. An Ling is also very interested in belly buttons and kept trying to help Maizie locate her own belly button. Maizie was more interested in the ball.
